DAVID K. INGALLS In Memoriam

-

The Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival extends its heartfelt condolences to the family of David K. Ingalls.

Since 1996, David continuously served on the Advisory Council and Board of Trustees of the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival. He was also on the Festival’s Endowment Foundation Board from 2004 through 2010, serving as President (2005–2008) and Secretary (2008–2010).

David moved to Santa Fe in 1993 with his wife Kay Duke Ingalls. They generously opened their home countless times as gracious hosts for many Festival events.

In 2005, Kay and David received the Festival’s Gifford Phillips Award, recognizing individuals supporting the Festival and other local performing arts organizations. David’s other arts activities include Chairman of Board of The Santa Fe Opera (2000–2003), President and Chairman of Board of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, and Life Trustee of the Los Angeles Opera.

David was passionate about supporting great live performances and making music and arts available for all young people to develop audiences of the future. His extraordinary intelligence, wit, charm, and kindness, along his passion for the beauty and the power of music were a transformative influence for all.

We will miss David’s caring personality, wise council, and deep love and knowledge of music and will continue to remember him with great fondness and deep appreciation.
