The Santa Fe National Cemetery plans a Memorial Day commemoration at 10 a.m. Monday. Guest speakers include Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham and U.S. Sen. Ben Ray Luján.

Hours of operation at a number of offices, institutions and businesses will be affected by Memorial Day observances.

◆ Most nonemergency federal, state, city and county offices, as well as most banks and financial institutions, will be closed.

◆ Santa Fe County and city offices will be closed.

◆ Santa Fe public libraries, recreation centers and courts will be closed.

◆ Santa Fe Trails buses and Santa Fe Ride programs will be out of service.

◆ The New Mexico Rail Runner Express will not be in service.

◆ City trash and recycling pickups will operate as normal; however, Santa Fe County solid waste transfer stations will be closed.

LaCombe’s music ranges from the humorous to the heartfelt, with some songs touching on current social dogmas and one paying homage to a friend taken by cancer.

His tour began after he released the burrito song and “it went nuts. There were 560 shares on Facebook, which is a lot when you’re not paying to promote,” he said. “A couple of radio stations called and wanted a radio version.”

Mary Domito, owner of Taos Lifestyle, a combination furniture showroom and listening room for live music, said the burrito song “geographically speaks to us in New Mexico,” but isn’t the only thing LaCombe has to offer.

“Not everyone has a voice that is so pleasing to the ear, and his music runs the gamut,” said Domito, who has been promoting music events in Taos for at least a dozen years.

Her concerts are free, with donations welcomed. Guests are free to sit on showroom floor chairs and recliners.
