-

JANUARY 27, 1936 - NOVEMBER 1, 2023

Las Vegas - Stanley Harrison McCrossen passed away on November 1st after a protracted battle with chronic illness. Born in 1936 in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Stanley was the youngest of three sons of George and Helen McCrossen. He is survived by his devoted wife, Zelda Meer McCrossen, and his loving nieces and nephews. Stanley will be dearly missed by the many informally adopted children-by-choice who he and Zelda lovingly incorporated into their extended family over many decades, along with his dog and four cats.

Stanley had a lifelong career as a cabinet maker and finish carpenter, but his real love was fishing up and down the Rio Grande. He was a wonderful storyteller, and he possessed a warm and witty sense of humor.

The family is appreciative of donations being made in his memory to the Gallinas River restoration project in Las Vegas, New Mexico, managed by the Hermit’s Peak Watershed Alliance.

Arrangements are entrusted to and under the care of Rogers Mortuary 600 Reynolds Ave Las Vegas, NM 87701 505-425-3511 or 1-800-479-3511.
