“The Idea of You” (May 2)

Based on the novel by Robinne Lee, this romcom centers on Solène (Anne Hathaway, “Les Misérables”), a 40-year-old single mom. When Solène must step in to chaperone her teenage daughter’s (Ella Rubin, “The Chair”) trip to the Coachella Music Festival at the last minute, she has a chance encounter with 24-year-old Hayes Campbell (Nicholas Galitzine, “Purple Hearts”), the lead singer of August Moon — the hottest boy band on the planet — and there is an instant, undeniable spark.

“The Veil” (April 30)

This FX series explores the surprising and fraught relationsh­ip between two women who play a deadly game of truth and lies on the road from Istanbul to Paris and London. One woman (Yumna Marwan, “Little Birds”) has a secret, the other (Elisabeth Moss, “The Handmaid’s Tale”) a mission to reveal it before thousands of lives are lost. In the shadows, mission controller­s at the CIA and French DGSE must put difference­s aside and work together to avert potential disaster.

“Fiasco” (April 30)

Raphaël Valande (Pierre Niney, “Frantz,” 2016) is revved up and ready to shoot his directoria­l debut — a tribute to his grandmothe­r — but when things start to go wrong on set, his dream job turns into a nightmare, which leaves Raphaël to wonder if a member of the team is trying to sabotage his career. Created, written and directed by Igor Gotesman (“Two Is a Family,” 2016), this French comedy television series premieres with three episodes, also starring François Civil (“Frank,” 2014) and Marie-Christine Barrault (“My Night at Maud’s,” 1969).

“Star Wars: Tales of the Empire” (May 4, Limited Series Premiere)

The force is with Star Wars fans once again. Lucasfilm’s new animated follow-up series to “Tales of the Jedi” acts as the second installmen­t of the “Tales” series. This six-episode miniseries adventures “into the fearsome Galactic Empire through the eyes of two warriors on divergent paths, set during different eras” (per Disney+), as Morgan Elsbeth (voiced by Diana Lee Inosanto, “Ahsoka”) has lost everything, and is now heading down a path of vengeance.
