Netflix series ‘Pulse’ filming in Albuquerque through August
The Netflix series Pulse is filming in and around Albuquerque through August, the New Mexico Film Office said last week.
The show — starring Willa Fitzgerald, Colin Woodell, Justina Machado, Jack Bannon, Jessie T. Usher, Chelsea Muirhead, Daniela Nieves and Jessy Yates — will employ roughly 200 crew members and 30 background actors in the state. Pulse follows the story of the “busiest Level 1 Trauma Center staff ” in Miami as they navigate medical emergencies. A young emergency room doctor, Danny Simms, is “unexpectedly promoted to chief resident amidst the fallout of her own provocative romantic relationship,” according to a news release.
The series is being directed by Kate Dennis, Carlton Cuse, Sarah Boyd, SJ Main Muñoz and Wendey Stanzler. Cuse, Dennis, Zoe Robyn, Emma Forman and Michael Klick are listed as producers.
“We are thrilled to announce another Netflix series that will be made right here in New Mexico,” film office Director Amber Dodson said in a statement. “Netflix is a New Mexico film partner, having made a decadelong commitment to invest in production, infrastructure, and job creation. Series such as Pulse create positive economic impact and opportunities for residents and businesses statewide while featuring our landscapes to a global audience.”
