Bernardian­s erupt in win over Clinton

Young scores 5 goals in victory

Rhiannon Young and the St. Bernard’s field hockey team had quite an afternoon on Friday.

Young scored five goals to lead the Bernardian­s (1-1) to an 8-3 thrashing of Clinton on the road.

Lydia Garneau scored twice and Katie Boissineau had a single tally in the victory.

NASHOBA 8, HUDSON 0 » Maddie Zacchini scored twice and added an assist, while Kayla Flanagan and Lela Boermeeste­r each had a goal and helper in the win. Tatum Dyment, Brooke Basile, Ali Vanasse and Nina Ambrose also scored.

OAKMONT 17, NARRAGANSE­TT 47 » Aidan Tamulen was victorious in 17:45 and was followed by teammates Declan LeClair (17:50), Tanner Dumas (18:19) and Dylan Banda (18:27) as the Spartans claimed the first four spots.

LUNENBURG 22, GROTON-DUNSTABLE 23 » Michael Alleva Michael (18:35) finished first for the Blue Knights during Thursday’s meet, followed by teammate Vincent Dellasanta (19:10) in second.
