LEOMINSTER - Frank J. “Inky” Lanza, 86 years old, of Leominster, died Sunday, January 24, 2021 in Health Alliance- Leominster Hospital.

Frank was born June 24, 1934 in Leominster, the son of Frank and Eva (Celli) Lanza, and was a lifelong resident. He leaves his wife of 64 years, Barbara I. (Burke) Lanza, his daughter Deborah A. Parry of Leominster, two grandchild­ren, Kellyanne Inverso and her husband

Anthony of Downingtow­n, PA, and Sarah Bird and her husband Mark of Milford, NH, his great grandson Anthony Joseph Inverso, two sisters, Madeline L`Ecuyer of Kensington, NH and Barbara Lanza of Leominster, brother-in-law Eugene Mason of El Paso, Texas and many nephews, nieces and cousins.

He was predecease­d by his daughter Sandy, son Joey, and by his sister Angela Mason.

Frank graduated from Leominster High School in 1952 and was an outstandin­g fullback on the football team. He was inducted into the Leominster Football Hall of Fame in November 2012. Frank worked as a meat cutter for many years at Victory Supermarke­t, A & P in New Hampshire, the commissary at the former Fort Devens and MidTown Beef. He was an avid New England sports fan, and enjoyed playing Bocce and going to the casinos and the track. He was a quiet man, his love and devotion to his family was deep. Facetiming with his great grandson brought him great joy, and was a highlight of his day. He will be greatly missed.
