LEOMINSTER - Delores Ann (Hummel) Louttit passed peacefully on January 24, 2021 at the Highlands in Fitchburg. She was a long time resident of Leominster. Delores was born August 10, 1936 to Eugene and Mary (Lewis) Hummel in Paxinos, Pa. Educated in local schools, she graduated from Shamokin High School,

Class of 1953. Delores proceeded to join the workforce and held a variety of secretaria­l and clerical positions. She met and married Stanley J. Ziemba and they had four children: Stanley, Diane, Michelle, and Colleen. Working as a full time mother and homemaker she still managed to work outside the home part-time. In 1981 her husband Stanley passed and in 1985 she met her current husband Mark, who was stationed at Ft Devens. They married in 1986 and she relocated to Massachuse­tts. For many years she was employed by the Shanklin Corporatio­n in Ayer as a buyer. Delores was a lifelong sports fan and an ardent Penn State fan. She was also a Red Sox fan. She enjoyed singing and for many years was a member of the choir at St Andrews Episcopal Church in Ayer. She liked to travel as well. She enjoyed being with her children. She was active in Red Hats. She is survived by her children, four grandchild­ren: Zachary Ziemba, Christophe­r Brinkley, Mia Zaida, and Melissa Singleton, great grandchild Jaxson Singletary, numerous brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews and her beloved cat Pearl. In lieu of flowers it is suggested that donations be given to the charity of their choice. Funeral services are planned in Pennsylvan­ia on Saturday, January 30, 2021. There will be a viewing for local residents on Thursday, January 28, 2021 from 6-7pm, Simard Funeral Home, 14 Walker Street, Leominster, MA.
