Bill Biswanger will be missed
I (and many like me I’m sure) was saddened to hear of the passing of Bill Biswanger. I never met the man. And being an outdoorsman myself, he never really told me anything I didn’t already know. But when I read his articles in a mainstream local paper like the Lowell Sun, I was happy to see fishing, hunting and the outdoor sports showcased to the readers of this paper.
He did so in a very clear manner, with the facts known to an avid outdoorsman, and the skill of a true writer. He portrayed the outdoor sports, and those of us who participate in them, in the best and clearest light.
I certainly hope the Sun attempts to find someone to continue the tradition Mr. Biswanger maintained for so long.
If enthusiasm for the outdoors sports perishes, then the wildlife outdoors-people who simultaneously hunt and conserve, will cease to flourish.
