Margaret Caisse

Margaret Caisse passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023 at the age of 87 at Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick, Georgia.

She is survived by her daughter, Sally and her son-inlaw, Bill, her sister, Evelyn and her nieces, Laurie and Lynda. She is predeceased by her husband, Lucien (Luke), brotherin-law, Bob, and her parents.

Margaret was born in Milton, MA, daughter of Percy A. Y. Dunlop, a retired Leominster

High School Math Teacher, and Bernice E. (Bunny) Dunlop. She graduated from Hudson High School, class of 1954 and moved to Leominster with her parents and sister, Evelyn. Margaret was honored to be on the 1950 Harriman Grammar School boys’ baseball team in Hudson, MA as an 8th grader along with her friend Sally Addy, who her daughter is named after, and coached by Mr. Quinn.

Margaret’s first job in Leominster was at the Telephone Company as a service rep in downtown, conveniently located for frequent shopping trips to Ruth Lee’s. Margaret was a teller at Merchants National Bank-south Branch and a volunteer at the Johnny Appleseed Visitors’ Center. Luke and Margaret were avid Red Sox fans and always watched the games while caning chairs. A favorite family vacation was a trip to York Beach, ME including the Goldenrod and Nubble light.
