My favorite field trip
The most memorable field trip I have ever attended was when our pop music class visited the Rock & Roll Hall of fame in Cleveland last year. In this class, we learned about the many different eras of music ranging from the 1950s rock era to the modern-day pop-era of music. Mr. Nabors, the teacher of the pop music class, organized the field trip to the Rock Hall at the end of the year, and it was one of the best experiences of my life. Not only was it a lot of fun, but it was a great educational experience. During our time at the Rock Hall,
Mr. Nabors had us take pictures and search for specific historical items on a list he created for us. Most of these items fit with the artists and genres we discussed and learned about in his class. It was surreal to visually observe things we learned about right in front of us.
My favorite part of the trip was looking at the guitars. Each guitar had its very own unique qualities and characteristics. The guitars specified the artist who once played them. I got to say the memorabilia was insane. They had many items that were personal belongings of the rock icons themselves. My favorite piece of memorabilia was Michael Jackson’s attire in the Smooth Criminal music video. Not only was the memorabilia incredible, but the architecture of the building was breathtaking. The Rock Hall is set right on the shores of Lake Erie. The establishment consists of; seven floors and the exterior is made almost entirely of glass. The big city environment was not something I was entirely familiar with, so that made the trip even more thrilling. In conclusion, this field trip was an unforgettable experience, and I m hoping to visit The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame again in the near future.
