Check welfare, October 12, 5:02 p.m., Broadway,

Officers were called for a check welfare. The mother of the juvenile requested it on her son and son’s father at the residence. The complainan­t stated she was on the phone with her son when her son’s father took the phone away from him. The complainan­t claimed she overheard the juvenile yell out the word help when the phone was disconnect­ed. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the juvenile’s father who detailed an explanatio­n that implicated his child being unruly and defiant. After clearing the scene, the father called back advising that the child’s mother was at his residence and he wanted her to leave the property. Officers spoke with the father and mother and determined that the father has custody and the mother only has supervised visitation. The father requested she leave the property and would be trespassed from returning. The mother was advised of same and escorted from the property.

Found property, October 13, 4:58 p.m., Mack, Officers were advised of a female on station in regards to found property. The female complainan­t found a wallet. Dispatch attempted to contact the phone number but was not successful. The wallet was placed into temporary evidence.

Warrant service, October 13, 10:52 a.m., Mack,

Officers were detailed for a warrant relay with Mansfield PD. Mansfield’s dispatch stated they arrested a male on a warrant through Shelby PD. The warrant was confirmed but no officers were available due to an investigat­ion. Mansfield officers brought the subject to Shelby Jail. October Roberts, Officers were called to the department for a menacing complaint. The victim wanted to report someone sending him threatenin­g Facebook messages. The victim showed officers

Menacing, 14, 3:46 p.m.,

Facebook messages. The victim provided a witness statement and the screen shots from the messages. The victim was provided a victim’s rights package and advised the suspect would be charged with menacing. The suspect was contacted who did not initially give his real name. The suspect admitted he sent the messages and advised he wanted an attorney. The conversati­on ended at that point. Officers completed a summons for menacing and was forwarded to the Shelby Municipal Court.

Traffic stop, October 15, 2:26 p.m., Mansfield/ Madison, Officers conducted

a traffic stop for speed. The driver was issued a verbal warning and the passenger was arrested for an active warrant through Mansfield PD. The passenger was found to have marijuana and parapherna­lia on him. The passenger was issued a summons and provided a court date. The passenger was transporte­d and a Mansfield officer took

custody.

Trespassin­g, October 15, 8:21 p.m., Marvin,

Police were dispatched for a report of criminal trespass. Officers m with both the victim and suspect. The suspect had entered the porch of the victim’s property and refused to leave. The suspect was issued a summons and given a court date.

Police were conducting

Disorderly October 16, Mack,

securing the lobby and scanning subjects coming into the building for the city council meeting. Prior, the subject became upset when he was patted down after the lobby’s metal detector was activated. The subject was patted down and a pocketknif­e was removed. The subject attended the meeting and his pocketknif­e was returned.

Fight, October 16, 11:53 a.m., Ryan, Police were informed of a fight.

The suspects were issued summons and would be given a date to appear in Richland County Juvenile Court.

Fraud, October 17, 7:31 a.m., Renfrew, A person came on station to speak with officers of identity theft/fraud. The person explained numerous incidents involving their identity theft/fraud had occurred over the past three years. A report was completed.
