Did you know that stroke symptoms often appear suddenly, with little warning.
Symptoms can very from person to person as a stroke can affect different parts of the body depending on what part of the brain is being deprived of oxygen.
An “ischemic” stroke is caused by a blocked blood vessel and a “hemorrhagic” stroke is from a leaking or busting blood vessel. Recognizing signs of a stroke early is important. The quicker you can get to a hospital the better chance you have of preventing a permanent disability and reduce the recovery time following a stroke. Here’s what you need to know. If you or someone you love is experiencing any of the following symptoms, please seek medical care immediately!
Remember the acronym BE FAST:
(B)= loss of balance
(E)= eyes blurred vision
(F)= Face drooping on one side (A)= arm weakness
(S)= speech difficulty
(T)= time to call the ambulance
