Crash/non-injury, February 14, 11:42 p.m., Mack/simeon, Officers responded to a one vehicle crash on Mack Ave. near Simeon Ave. Upon arrival, officers discovered an unoccupied single car that had struck a utility pole . Disabling damage was observed to the vehicle and utility pole. The owner of the vehicle was quickly tracked to a local address. The Owner admitted to driving the vehicle, stating that he lost control because he was on his cell phone. Upon further investigation the owner was determined to be intoxicated and admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages before the collision. The owner was issued citations for O.V.I., Stopping After Accidents (Damage to Realty) and Operation without Reasonable Control. The owner was given a mandatory court date.

Raymond, Officers from the Shelby Police Department traveled to Raymond Ave. in an Attempt on Warrant Service. Dispatch advised that the individual was wanted by the Richland County Sheriff’s Office for a Parole Violation. Upon arrival, he was located at the front door of the residence. He was advised of the warrant and taken into custody without incident. He was then relayed into the Custody of the Richland County Sheriff’s Office to finish transport to the Richland County Jail.
