Live music and the Maple Syrup Festival happening in Richland County this weekend

Live music will be all around, and Malabar Farm’s Maple Syrup Festival will be making its return this weekend throughout Richland County.

The 1285 Winery at the Blueberry Patch will have live music featuring Kevin Sutton on Friday, March 1. Sutton will be on stage beginning at 6 p.m. and will play until 9 p.m. The Blueberry Patch is located at 1285 W. Hanley Rd., Mansfield.

At Phoenix Brewing, the featured live musical guest on Friday night is scheduled to be Parkwell. Parkwell will perform from 7:30-10:30 p.m. Phoenix Brewing is located at 131 N. Diamond St., Mansfield.

Over the weekend on Saturday, March 2 and Sunday, March 3 the 47th Annual Maple Syrup Festival will be taking place. This will also take place the following weekend on March 9 and 10. The festival will be open all days listed from 12-4 p.m.

This festival will feature a number of activities including horse drawn wagon rides, demonstrations on how to make maple syrup at the Sugar Shack and the process that goes into it, and many treats will be available throughout. In addition to all of the activities that will be available, the gift shop will also be open and food trucks will be on site.

When it comes to parking, there will be individuals directing those attending on where to park. From there, the horse drawn wagon will begin at the working farm and will take individuals to the festival and back. There will also be shuttles.

Malabar Farm State Park is located at 4050 Bromfield Rd., Lucas.

Springtime is just around the corner which means the Easter Bunny is hopping around Richland County. The Easter Bunny will be at the Richland Carrousel Park throughout the month. The dates include March 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, and 24 from 1-4 p.m. There will be a small fee for a printed photo and those who plan on attending can also use their own camera if they would like.
