Found February 27, Mansfield,

Officers were dispatched to a business at Mansfield Avenue. The caller/manager reported that a customer had found a plastic bag that may contain drugs. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with the customer and the caller. The customer informed the officer that they had found the baggy on the floor and handed it to the store manager. The manager then submitted the baggy to the officer. The bag contained a crystal-like substance. The officer placed the baggy into an evidence bag and instructed the store manager to contact them if they had any footage of the incident. The officer then took the evidence bag containing the baggy to the Shelby Police Department .

Telephone harassment, February 27, 2:58 p.m., E. Whitney, The complainan­t

arrived at the police department with concerns about the subject causing problems with her after both engaged in an argument via Facebook Messenger. The complainan­t was concerned because the subject appeared to be challengin­g her to a physical confrontat­ion

and the type of people the subject associates with concerned her also. The complainan­t stated the subject associates with gang affiliated subjects. The complainan­t had since blocked the subject on messenger and the phone number she had for her was no longer a good working number. The last known address that MPD had listed for the subject was also no longer a valid address. At the time of this report police were unable to contact the subject.

Traffic stop, February 27, 12:30 a.m., Fish/ Sherman, A traffic Stop

was initiated on the listed vehicle for an Equipment Violation. Upon making contact with the driver

(offender), the driver admitted to not having a Valid Driver’s License, Consuming Alcoholic Beverages and traveling over the Speed Limit. Further Investigat­ion revealed that the offender was impaired from alcohol consumptio­n and was subsequent­ly arrested. The offender was issued citations for O.V.I., No Operators License and No License Plate Light. The offender will appear in Shelby Municipal Court.

Neighbor trouble, February 27, 2:53 p.m., E. Smiley, A male came into

the department in regards to his neighborin­g having a dog in their apartment next to his that barks constantly. The male is already going through the SMC for the issue at hand and was wanting to have this incident documented.

Check welfare, February 27, 12:29 a.m., Plymouth,

Officers were dispatched to Plymouth St. on the stated date and time. Officers checked the welfare of a juvenile, and she was fine. The case was forwarded to Richland County Children’s Services.

Warrant service, February 27, 11:54 p.m., Summit, Shelby

Police Department traveled to Summit St. to attempt Warrant Service on the suspect Officers were made aware earlier this week that the suspect was residing at the address and discovered he had an active warrant for his arrest from the Huron County Sheriff ‘s Office for Possession of Drugs. Upon arrival the suspect was located inside the residence. The suspect was advised of the warrant and was secured without incident. The suspect was then relayed into the custody of the Huron County Sheriff’s Office at the Plymouth Police Department. Nothing Further.
