Found property, April 4, 10:11 a.m., Raymond/ Close, The Shelby Police

Department received a call stating that a bicycle was abandoned at the corner of Close St. and Raymond Ave. The bike was transporte­d to the Shelby Police Department. It was determined that the bike belonged to a female that the Shelby Police Department had arrested earlier that morning. She was contacted and she stated that she had no one that could pick up the bike for her. The bike was then placed in the Shelby Police Department­s cold storage where it will remain until the owner can come get the bike or it is surrendere­d to the Shelby Police Department.

Civil matter, April 6, 6:09 p.m., Second,

Officers were detailed to Second St. in reference to civil matter.

Warrant service, April 6, 1:01 p.m., W. Main,

Officers attempted to serve an arrest warrant at W. Main St. Officers made contact with the resident who confirmed the female suspect was present. The suspect came outside and was arrested on the active warrant for theft. The suspect was transporte­d back to the Shelby Police Department then was served a copy of her warrant. The suspect was then booked into the Shelby City Jail on $525.00 bond. Nothing further to report. complaint,

2:07 p.m., Officers were detailed to Mansfield Ave for a dog at large complaint. The caller

reported two large dogs running in his backyard then lunged at him. The owner of the property pointed to Bradley, indicated that is where the dogs reside. Officers made contact with the dogs owner and inspected their fence that had significan­t gaps and holes the dogs could exit through. as the complainan­t reported this has happened prior, the dog owner was charged with Dog At Large. The dog owner was given a mandatory court date in Shelby Municipal Court. The dog owner was released with a copy of her summons.

Traffic stop, April 7, 1:01 a.m., Mansfield/ Gaylord, Officers conducted a traffic stop on Mansfield Ave between Jefferson and Gaylord . During the traffic stop the driver appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and was asked to exit the vehicle. The driver was put through Standardiz­ed Field Sobriety Test (SFST) and found to be over the legal limit of alcohol. The driver refused a portable breath test and was placed under arrest and transporte­d back to the Shelby Police

Department. The driver refused to give a breath sample and was charged with Operating a Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol, then released to a sober party.
