Shelby middle school track competes in Sandusky

Shelby middle school track teams competed at the Perkins Junior High Invite in Sandusky on Saturday afternoon.

The boys finished sixth with 42 points and the girls finished seventh with 43.5 points.

Luke Blevins won the long jump with a leap of 18-5.25. Blevins was also 2nd (58.02) in the 400 meters and 4th (24.67) in the 200 meters.

Dalton Downs was third (28.52) in the 110 meter hurdles and 5th (29.93) in 200 meter hurdles.

Clayton Mitchell finished fourth in the shot put with a 45-11.25 throw.

On the girls side, Jordyn

Thauvette finished second (5:52.20) in the 1600 meters and fifth (2:46.09) in the 800 meters.

Arabella Ream finished third (7-0) in the pole vault. Sophia Gano finished third (74-5) in the discus. Kendall Bowman finished fourth (28.35) in the 200 meters.
