Warrant service, May 1, 11:39 p.m., Sherman,

Officers responded to a suspicious person call on Mack Ave . Upon making contact with the female subject, once identified it was found she had a warrant for her arrest out of Richland County Sheriffs Office. The female was arrested and transporte­d to Richland County Jail.

Suspicious person, May 2, 9:27 p.m., Whitney/broadway, Officers were dispatched to a suspicious person call involving a male sprinting down Broadway after two females towards the gas station. Upon officers arrival, the male was identified and found to have a warrant out of Richland County Sheriffs Office (RCSO). When conducting an initial search on the male after an arrest was made the officers found Drug Parapherna­lia . The male was charged before units from RCSO took over custody of the subject.

Fraud, May 2, 11:46 a.m., Sherman, An elderly female arrived on station to report a scam she was a victim to. Officers responded and took a report. The female was told she won roughly $333 million by the scammers and that they would need her to send over $10,000 to cover the taxes on the money she “won.” The female did as they asked and later discovered it was a scam. She was advised to remain in contact with her bank and was also informed of the nature of many scams. She was provided the report number and left the station without issue.

Found property, May 3, 8:24 p.m., Auburn, A

syringe was located on the sidewalk in front of the listed residence. The syringe was secured and placed into temporary evidence storage.

Domestic violence, May 3, 8:53 p.m., Raymond, Officers were dispatched to the listed location for a report of a Domestic Violence incident. Upon arrival officers met with both parties who had conflictin­g stories about the incident . The alleged victim had an injury to her right hand. During the course of the investigat­ion it was found that the injury may not have been due to a domestic violence incident and may be unrelated. With this informatio­n along with the victim declining to pursue charges the parties were separated and no charges were sought after either party.

Theft, May 3, 7:30 p.m., W. Main, Officers were dispatched to the listed location for a report of a theft . Officers identified the described male and detained him. Video camera surveillan­ce was then observed and it was confirmed that the suspect had left the store without paying for the liquor. The store agreed not to pursue charges should the liquor be returned. The liquor was returned and the male was released.

Traffic stop, May 5, 1:50 a.m., Broadway/ Whitney, Officers conducted a traffic stop. During the course of the investigat­ion the male driver was found to be driving under suspension. The driver was then issued a citation for Operation under suspension other than FRA or OVI. The driver was given a court date. The driver then parked the vehicle and awaited a valid driver to retrieve it.
