Writers Guild to meet Feb. 13

The Siloam Springs Writers Guild will meet on Monday evening, Feb. 13, at 6 p. m. at First Baptist Church, 2000 W. Dawn Hill Road, west entrance. Rosemary Matthews will present a lesson on “How to Write Poetry.” February assignment­s are: Prose — Presidenti­al Stories; Poetry — a Love Sonnet of 14 lines. The Writers welcome all interested poets and writers of prose to attend. Coffee and cookies will be served.

Art Reception and Fundraiser

An art reception and fundraiser featuring the work of Eve Nam will be held from 6 to 9 p.m., Jan. 19 at The Cafe on Broadway. All proceeds will benefit New Beginnings Pregnancy Services.

Do you have memories of the World War II era? The day Pearl Harbor was attacked, rationing on the home front, VE or VJ day? Do you have letters, photos, mementos or other items from the WWII era? Volunteer needed

The Senior Activity and Wellness Center is in need of a volunteer to deliver meals every Wednesday. The route starts at 10: 45 a. m. and takes about an hour-and-a-half to complete. The route can be shared with a friend or group.
