Eicher to perfrom at Second Saturday Music
Shelby Eicher and his special guests Monica Taylor and Jared Tyler will be the featured performers at the July 8 Second Saturday Music concert.
Eicher is an accomplished professional musician, recording artist and music teacher. As a member of Roy Clark’s band for 15 years, Eicher recorded five albums with Clark, and was also a member of musical groups Mark Bruner & Shelby Eicher, Shelby Eicher Hot Gypsy Trio, Cafe Jazz, The Grasshoppers, The Kings of Western Swing, Riders on the Cimarron, and Cowbop. Currently, Eicher plays with the bands Tulsa Playboys and Mischievous Swing. His musical accomplishments and contributions may be found on his website www. shelbyeicher.com.
Joining Eicher for the Second Saturday Concert will be Monica Taylor. Taylor, who grew up in “Red Dirt” music country in Oklahoma is recognized for her singing and songwriting contributions keeping folk music alive. Second Saturday Music is made possible with sponsorship from Siloam Springs Parks and Recreation and private donations. The free event begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Twin Springs Park gazebo at the corner of East Twin Springs and Maxwell Street. Bring a lawn chair or blanket.
