These participants are eligible for free incentive prizes. They are also eligible to sign up for a drawing for free NWA Naturals tickets. Details are available when participants sign up. All programs are free and open to the public with the exception of the closing celebration. Sign-up is not required to attend the programs.

• Mondays are “Family Movie Day” with movies starting at 2 p.m. Movies shown will relate to the theme of building a better world. Tuesdays are “Family Day” with the events starting at 11 a.m.

• Tuesday, July 11 — Super Science of NWA

• Tuesday, July 18 — NHECM (Wildlife Presenter)

• Tuesday, July 25 — Closing program at 10:30 a.m. at the Family Aquatic Center. Registration for this event will begin at 10 a.m. This event is for the families whose children and teens have read a minimum of three hours and have turned in their reading logs prior to July 21.

The preschool times are held Wednesdays at 11 a.m., Thursdays at 11 a.m., and Thursdays at 2 p.m. Julia Wilson is leading the Wednesday sessions and Melody Taylor is leading the Thursday sessions. The elementary programs are meeting Thursdays at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. and are led by Delilah Williamson. Leah Humphrey is leading the young adult program which meets Thursday afternoons at 4:30 p.m.

Adults programming for July is as follows:

• Monday, July 10 at 7 p.m. — The Adult Reading Group will meet to discuss “The Forgetting Time” by Sharon Guskin. Janie, a single mom has a son Noah, who has recollections of another life in the past. Enter Jerome Anderson who threw everything away to pursue an obsession: the stories of children who remembered the past. These three lives intertwine and the rest of the story is in the book.

• Thursday, July 13 at 6 p.m. — Upcycle Your T-shirt. Do you have any T-shirts lying around that are still in decent shape and you don’t want to relegate them to the rag bag? Valerie Angelescu will be showing us how to upcycle T-shirts into a trendy bag. If you don’t have a T-shirt, we have T-shirts that will be provided by the library.

• Tuesday, July 18 at 11 a.m. — The Morning Book Club will meet to discuss “The Architecture of Happiness” by Glain de Botton. De Botton takes us on a revealing illustrated journey through the philosophy and psychology of architecture and the connection between our identities and our locations. One of the great but often unmentioned causes of both happiness and misery is the quality of our environment. Our walls, furnishings, buildings and streets make an impact on us and yet too often this aspect of our existence is described as frivolous, even selfindulgent.

Look for a new collection in mid-July. We will start offering XBox, PlayStation, and Wii University games for check-out. These items will be available for a oneweek check-out with the option of renewing it one time if there are no holds on the items. Please ask staff for more details.

The library has meeting space for use by its patrons and residents of Siloam Springs. Please read the updated policy that is on the city’s web page or give us a call at 479-524-4236 to find out more details. We look forward to increased use of these rooms.

Be sure to check new books by the circulation desk, the young adult area and the children’s area. Also check the display areas for ideas of items to check out and to know what whimsical day is happening.

Please visit the Library’s Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/SiloamSpringsPublicLibrary/, the Library’s website at http://www.siloamsprings.com/library, or call us at 479-5244236 for more information about what the library has to offer.

And as always, we will see you at the library!
