Frances Jean Barrett

Frances Jean Barrett, 74, of Pryor, Okla., died Jan. 29, 2018, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Okla.

She was born Dec. 5, 1943, in Sulphur Springs, Ark., to William Franklin Spiva and Katherine Virginia Allen Spiva. She married James “Clyde” Barrett on Sept. 9, 1961. She was a homemaker.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents and sister Patricia Chandler.

She is survived by her husband; a son, Gerald Barrett and wife Kathy of Rose, Okla.; a daughter, Belinda O’Canas and husband John of Pryor, Okla.; three grandchild­ren; and five greatgrand­children.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018, at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, Ark.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, 2018, at Wasson Memorial Chapel in Siloam Springs. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Hiwasse, Ark.

Lyndall Kelly

Lyndall Kelly, 83, of the Mason Valley Community, Ark., died Jan. 26, 2018.

She was born Jan.

1, 1935 in Brockton, Mass. She was the first baby born that day. She attended Abington (Mass.)High School, where she studied art and music. She loved to draw and play her piano. She worked at Whitman’s Candy after school.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Kelly.

She raised seven children, Robin Ann Delano and husband Daniel McManus of Rogers, Ark., Roxanne Handy of Fort Smith, Ark., William Handy and wife Peggy of Gentry, Ark., Kathi Roberts of Gentry, Ark., Marilou Wimbish and husband Clarence of Van Buren, Ark., Donna Kelly of Mason Valley, and Kim Handy and husband Mark Williams of Mason Valley. She is survived by many grandchild­ren.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, Ark.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3 at Wasson Memorial Chapel in Siloam Spring. Burial will be at Gentry Cemetery in Gentry, Ark.

Pauline Hurt Williams Lea

Pauline Hurt Williams Lea, 87, a former resident of Siloam Springs, Ark., died Jan. 23, 2018, at St. John’s Hospital in Tulsa, Okla.

She was born March 6, 1930, in Sapulpa, Okla., to Walter Hurt and May Wadley Hurt. She was a retired Franklin Electric employee. She enjoyed camping, swimming, country music concerts, line dancing, cooking and sewing. She was a member of the Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Mae Walsh; two sisters, Eunice Roberts and Mildred Hurt; two brothers, Arnold Hurt and her twin brother, Paul Hurt; and her great-granddaugh­ter, Ashton Williams.

She is survived by two sons, Andy Williams and Billy Williams both of Tulsa; one daughter, Shirley Cayce of Siloam Springs; six grandchild­ren; and 10 greatgrand­children.

A family memorial will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018, at Memorial Community Center, located at 8310 E. 15th Street in Tulsa.

Kenneth R. Martin

Kenneth R. Martin, 79, of Kansas, Okla., died Jan. 29, 2018 at the Quail Ridge Living Center in West Siloam Springs, Okla.

He was born on July 12, 1938 in Westville, Okla., to George Robert Martin and Mable Carpenter Martin. He lived in Kansas, Okla., for 55 years. He was a chicken farmer and cattleman. He worked for Delaware County and drove trucks for several local industries. He loved fishing, hunting, farming and large family get togethers. He was a member of the Victory Worship Center in West Siloam Springs, where he was very active in their food ministries.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Leon and Leroy Martin; one sister, Alta Mae Wytalier; and one grandchild.

He is survived by two sons, Dannie Martin and Christi Keifer of Colcord, Okla., and Jimmy Martin and wife Debra of Gentry, Ark.; one daughter, Mary Moore and husband Tony of Jay, Okla.; two brothers, Robert Martin of Kansas, OKla., and Lonnie Martin of Stillwell, Okla.; three sisters, Alma Jean Myrick of Siloam Springs, and Lizbeth Trollinger and Yvonne Willhem both of Westville; six grandchild­ren and six great-grandchild­ren.

Funeral service will be held at the BackstromP­yeatte Funeral Chapel in Siloam Springs, Ark., at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018 with Jack Hayes officiatin­g. Burial will be at the Kansas Cemetery in Kansas, Okla.

Bill D. Smith

Bill D. Smith, 61, of Siloam Springs, Ark., died Jan. 28, 2018 at his home.

He was born Aug. 19, 1956 in Odessa, Texas to Bob Smith and Gladys Marie Copeland Smith. After his mother’s death, he was raised by Mike and Connie Kiesewette­r. He was a graduate of Ada (Okla.) High School in 1974. He worked as a utility contractor for several years. He married Dewana Wishon in Highfill, Ark., in 1980.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Kristin Johnson and husband Steven of West Springdale, Ark., and Kimberly Garrett and husband David of Siloam Springs; four grandchild­ren; one brother, Jim Galbreath; and his parents, Mike and Connie Kiesewette­r.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018 at the Highfill United Methodist Church in Highfill. The church will be serving lunch at noon.

Janice Elaine Smith

Janice Elaine Smith, 73, of Gentry, Ark., died on Jan. 28, 2018 at Siloam Springs Regional Hospital.

She was born on Nov. 14, 1944 in Moorpark, Calif., to Edwin True and Betty Vermillion True Clark. She graduated from Gentry High School. She married Joe Smith on March 5, 1962 in Jay, Okla. She was a member of the Colcord Church of Christ. She was the secretary/treasurer for the Monday Night Strikers Bowling League of Gentry and spent many active years with the Bloomfield 4-H Club and Springtown Extension Homemaker’s Club.

She was preceded in death by one son, Tom Smith; her father, Edwin True; and her stepfather, George Clark.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Smith; a son, Rob Smith and wife Sandy of Gentry; a daughter, Sandra Smith of Gentry; daughterin-law, Patricia Smith of Jay, Okla.; five grandchild­ren; six great-grandchild­ren; and a brother, Rick True of Bentonvill­e, Ark.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018 at the Colcord Church of Christ, Colcord, Okla., with Mike Ellis and Pastor Mark Rotramel officiatin­g. Burial will follow at Dickson Cemetery in Cherokee City, Ark.
