Barr joins Northwest Health Urgent Care in Siloam Springs
Stefanie Barr, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, has joined the Allied Health Professionals Staff at Northwest Health and treats patients at Northwest Health Urgent Care in Siloam Springs as a family nurse practitioner.
Barr received her master’s degree from Chamberlain College of Nursing in Downers Grove, Ill., with honors in 2017 as a family nurse practitioner. She completed her bachelor of science from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Okla., in 2012. Barr began her career as a registered nurse specializing in emergency medicine.
Barr’s experience also includes emergency medicine travel nursing in multiple states. She holds a national certification from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is an active member of the American Nurses Association, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Arkansas Nurse Practitioner Association, Association of Oklahoma Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.

“Taking care of patients is the best part of my job,” Barr said. “I enjoy working in urgent care because it allows me to keep up my ER skills and help others.”
With winter in full force, Barr’s best advice to stay healthy is use hand hygiene. “Wash, wash, wash your hands,” she said.
Barr and her family are residents of Locust Grove, Okla., where they live on 40 acres. In her free time, Barr enjoys being with her family. She and her husband have a 2-year-old daughter, Stella, and a son on the way. They also have a basset hound, Isie.
