Nancy Ellen Haddock

Nancy Ellen Haddock, 55-year-old resident of Kansas, Oklahoma, died March 30, 2018, at her home.

Born January 12, 1963, in El Centro, California, she was the daughter of James Leon Daffern and Christine Ann Finney Daffern. Nancy married Jimmy Haddock Sr. in 1989.

She was preceded in death by her father; brother, Jimmy; and sister, Thelma.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmy of the home; daughter, Krissy Posey and husband Chris of Durant, Oklahoma; sons, Cory Haddock of Kansas, Oklahoma, Lewis Haddock of Tennessee and Jimmy Haddock Jr. of Arkansas; her mother, Christine Daffern of Tupelo, Oklahoma; nine grandchild­ren, Audrey, Kevin and Shiloh Posey, Lilly Ryan, Shannon, Christophe­r, April, Brandon and Destiny Haddock; two great-grandchild­ren, Brayden and Zaylen; brothers, Curtis Daffern and wife Sandra of Comanche, Oklahoma, James Daffern and wife Jodi of Walters, Oklahoma, and Iven Daffern and wife Amanda of Eufaula, Oklahoma; sisters, Joyce Harger and husband Mike of Tupelo, Oklahoma, Ruth Chamberlai­n and husband Marc of Tupelo, Oklahoma and Tina Neal and husband James of Pickett, Oklahoma; and numerous other family members. A special thank you to Gabi Perez for finishing the crochet blanket.

Memorial services were 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, Arkansas.

Wanda Lou Shook

Wanda Lou Shook, 82-year-old resident of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, died March 31, 2018, at Brookdale Assisted Living, Fort Smith, Arkansas. Born February

3, 1936, in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Jake Philpot and Virginia Huffman Philpot. Wanda married Gordon Shook August 1, 1955. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church and Second Baptist Church, taught Sunday School and was involved in Vacation Bible School. She was the founder and original director of the Manna Center in Siloam Springs. Wanda was a longtime teller at First National Bank. She loved to sew, crochet, cook, attend Bluegrass festivals but mostly spending time with family.

Survivors include her husband, Gordon of the home; sons, Gordon Shook Jr. and wife Donna of Frisco, Texas, and Walter Shook and wife Terri of Fayettevil­le, Arkansas; daughters, Linda Moore and husband Ken of Houston, Arkansas, and Elizabeth “Gay” Blair and husband Ron of Lavaca, Arkansas; brothers, Wallace Philpot of Grand Prairie, Texas, Paul Philpot of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and Bruce Philpot and wife Suzanne of Galveston, Texas; seven grandchild­ren, Daniel Moore, Rebecka Hughes, Sam Moore, David Shook, Andy Moore, Kathryn Bunch and Robert Blair; 13 great-grandchild­ren; and numerous muchloved nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 6, 2018, at Wasson Funeral Home.
