Karen Sue Ziemer Whited, 82, of Gravette, Ark., died Thursday, June 14, 2018, at the residence of her daughter, Nancy Curtis.

She was born Jan. 1, 1936, in Hutchinson, Kan., to Lois Kelly Ziemer and David Mark Ziemer. She was a native of Hutchinson, graduating from Hutchinson High School in 1953. She moved to Arkansas in 2007

She was an avid sports fan, especially of the sports her children and grandchild­ren played. She had many interests, including artistic pursuits, raising horses and sheep, and gardening.

She is survived by her children, Dana Fulton and husband Jack, and Keni Whited and wife Anna of Indiana, Kelly Whited of Florida, Daniel Whited and wife Helen of Colorado, Nancy Curtis and husband Ray of Arkansas, David Whited and wife Stacy of Missouri; two sisters, Frances Jackson and husband Alan of Maryland, and Charlotte Humiston and husband Jim of Kansas; and 50 grandchild­ren and great-grandchild­ren.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 20, at the Bethel Cemetery located in Gravette, with Pastor Clyde Garrett officiatin­g.
