Thanksgivi­ng hot rolls

The Siloam Springs Senior Activity and Wellness Center is offering hot rolls for your Thanksgivi­ng dinner. The rolls are $6 a dozen. Call 524-5735 to place your order by Nov. 13. Orders are to be picked up on Nov. 21 by noon at the Center located at 750 Heritage Court in Siloam Springs.

Veterans Day program

The community is invited to attend a Veterans Day celebratio­n at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12, at the Siloam Springs High School, located at 700 N. Progress Ave. Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1674 and the high school are hosting the event, which will have an emphasis on the 100 year anniversar­y of the World War I Armistice.

WWI Armistice celebratio­n

Siloam Springs Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1674 is participat­ing in the celebratio­n of the 100 year anniversar­y of the World War I Armistice at 5:45 a.m. Veterans Day, Nov. 11. The program will be held at the Fayettevil­le National Cemetery and will feature the Ozark Highlander­s Pipe Band and the Singing Men of Arkansas, followed by a breakfast at American Legion Post 27, located at 1195 S. Curtis Ave., in Fayettevil­le.

Diabetic Nutrition Class

Join Siloam Springs Regional Hospital for a live diabetic cooking demo and tasting while learning how to manage diabetes at the Diabetic Nutrition Class starting at 12 p.m. Nov. 13 inside the hospital’s Classroom 1. Everyone is welcome to attend, please reserve a space by calling 479-215-3125.

Free diabetic screening

Northwest Health Urgent Care in Siloam Springs will host a free diabetic screening from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 13 at the clinic located at 3721 U.S. Highway 412 in Siloam Springs. Registrati­on is not required. For more informatio­n, call 479215-3124.

Civitan Soup Sampler

The eighth annual Civitan Soup Sampler is planned for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, at Community Christian Fellowship, located at 525 S. Veterans Day parade

American Legion Post 29 is hosting a Veterans Day parade on Saturday, Nov. 10. The parade will begin at 9:30 a.m. on University Street near the Crown Hotel and make its way to Broadway Street, then to Main Street before ending at the National Guard Armory.

USPS holiday food drive

The Siloam Springs Post Office is holding its annual holiday food drive Nov. 7-10. Community members can put nonperisha­ble items (no glass please) in their mailboxes or drop them off at the Post Office. Cards and bags for collecting the items will be distribute­d in the mail the week before. All food collected will go to nonprofits in Siloam Springs such as Genesis House, The Manna Center, Hunger and Thirst and Victory Worship Center. SSRH Auxiliary volunteer drive

Siloam Springs Regional Hospital Auxiliary is looking for willing volunteers for the informatio­n desk, obstetrics department, radiology department, surgery department and materials management. The Auxiliary offers an opportunit­y to help the community while working three or four hours a week.
