Thanks­giv­ing hot rolls

The Siloam Springs Se­nior Ac­tiv­ity and Well­ness Cen­ter is of­fer­ing hot rolls for your Thanks­giv­ing din­ner. The rolls are $6 a dozen. Call 524-5735 to place your or­der by Nov. 13. Or­ders are to be picked up on Nov. 21 by noon at the Cen­ter lo­cated at 750 Her­itage Court in Siloam Springs.

Veter­ans Day pro­gram

The com­mu­nity is in­vited to at­tend a Veter­ans Day cel­e­bra­tion at 11 a.m. Mon­day, Nov. 12, at the Siloam Springs High School, lo­cated at 700 N. Progress Ave. Veter­ans of For­eign Wars Post 1674 and the high school are host­ing the event, which will have an em­pha­sis on the 100 year an­niver­sary of the World War I Armistice.

WWI Armistice cel­e­bra­tion

Siloam Springs Veter­ans of For­eign Wars Post 1674 is par­tic­i­pat­ing in the cel­e­bra­tion of the 100 year an­niver­sary of the World War I Armistice at 5:45 a.m. Veter­ans Day, Nov. 11. The pro­gram will be held at the Fayet­teville Na­tional Ceme­tery and will fea­ture the Ozark High­landers Pipe Band and the Singing Men of Arkansas, fol­lowed by a break­fast at Amer­i­can Le­gion Post 27, lo­cated at 1195 S. Cur­tis Ave., in Fayet­teville.

Di­a­betic Nu­tri­tion Class

Civ­i­tan Soup Sam­pler

The eighth an­nual Civ­i­tan Soup Sam­pler is planned for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fri­day, Nov. 9, at Com­mu­nity Chris­tian Fel­low­ship, lo­cated at 525 S. Veter­ans Day parade

Amer­i­can Le­gion Post 29 is host­ing a Veter­ans Day parade on Satur­day, Nov. 10. The parade will be­gin at 9:30 a.m. on Univer­sity Street near the Crown Ho­tel and make its way to Broad­way Street, then to Main Street be­fore end­ing at the Na­tional Guard Ar­mory.

USPS hol­i­day food drive

The Siloam Springs Post Of­fice is hold­ing its an­nual hol­i­day food drive Nov. 7-10. Com­mu­nity mem­bers can put non­per­ish­able items (no glass please) in their mail­boxes or drop them off at the Post Of­fice. Cards and bags for col­lect­ing the items will be dis­trib­uted in the mail the week be­fore. All food col­lected will go to non­prof­its in Siloam Springs such as Ge­n­e­sis House, The Manna Cen­ter, Hunger and Thirst and Vic­tory Wor­ship Cen­ter. SSRH Aux­il­iary vol­un­teer drive

Siloam Springs Re­gional Hospi­tal Aux­il­iary is look­ing for will­ing vol­un­teers for the in­for­ma­tion desk, ob­stet­rics de­part­ment, ra­di­ol­ogy de­part­ment, surgery de­part­ment and ma­te­ri­als man­age­ment. The Aux­il­iary of­fers an op­por­tu­nity to help the com­mu­nity while work­ing three or four hours a week.
