Senior Center Chili Supper

The Siloam Springs Senior Center will host its 42nd annual chili supper 4-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4. The Center will be serving all you can eat home-cooked chili, real potato soup, dessert and beverage. The cost is $6 per person for adults and $4 per person for kids under 10. Takeouts are available. Come help your Senior Center raise money and enjoy a great meal. Republican Women to meet Monday

The Siloam Springs Republican Women will meet Monday, Sept. 16, at the Compass Building located at 318 Main Street. The guest speaker will be Joyce Mucci of Kansas City. Mucci serves as a Field Representa­tive for the Federation for American Immigratio­n Reform (FAIR). Refreshmen­ts begin at 6:30 p.m. followed by the program at 7 p.m. This is an open meeting, which strives to be patriotic, not political and find facts rather than exchange opinions. Museum presents ‘Stained-glass Windows’

The Siloam Springs Museum presents “Stainedgla­ss Windows of First Presbyteri­an Church,” a lecture by Dr. Robbie Castleman, 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14. In this Lecture, Dr. Castleman will explain the history and significan­ce behind the stained-glass windows in Siloam Springs’ First Presbyteri­an Church. The congregati­on dates to 1874 (in Hico) and was a part of the Cumberland Presbyteri­an Church, a “border state” denominati­on after the Civil War. The lecture will be at the Museum, 112 N. Maxwell, followed by a one block walk to First Presbyteri­an Church to view the windows. Call 479-524-4011 for more informatio­n.

‘Tap into History’ Oct. 5

The Siloam Springs Museum presents Oktoberfes­t: ‘Tap into History’ on Oct. 5. Registrati­on and check-in will be at 7 p.m. at Ivory Bill Brewing, 516 E. Main St. Next stop is Ziggywurst and to complete the evening, Creekside Taproom. Tickets are $30 in advance, $35 at the door, and non-alcoholic tickets $25. Registrati­on includes 1-year membership to the Siloam Springs Museum and enters you in a drawing for door prize.
