Canaan Land Ministry Singing
There will be no singing at Canaan Land Ministry Church on Nov. 30 because the church will be providing music for the Light Up West Siloam Springs, Okla., Christmas event at 6 p.m. in the city park. The singing for the following month will take place on Dec. 31 along with a watch-night service and finger food. In January, the church will resume its regular schedule of hosting singings on the last Saturday of each month with food at 5 p.m., followed by music at 6 p.m. The church is located at 6571 U.S. Highway 412 in Colcord, Okla. Thanksgiving dinner
First United Methodist Church is hosting its 17th annual Thanksgiving meal from noon until 2 p.m. Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28. The menu will include turkey, ham, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes and gravy, dressing, rolls and dessert. Deliveries and pickups are available. The church is located at 325 E. Twin Springs. Celtic Contemplative Worship
Celtic Contemplative Worship at Grace Episcopal Church, located at 617 N. Mount Olive St., takes place each Sunday from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. It includes poetry, scripture, candlelight prayers, music, silence, contemplation and the Lord’s Table. Child care is provided.
FBC Awana
First Baptist Church offers an Awana program for children preschool through grade six. Awana is a worldwide nonprofit ministry focused on providing Bible-based evangelism and discipleship solutions for children. As the global leader in child and youth discipleship, Awana gives children the opportunity to know, love and serve Jesus, no matter their background. The First Baptist Awana program involves games, small group and large group activities. Ladies Bible Study
Women are invited to study II Samuel: David’s Rise, Reign, Regret & Restoration. The class meets on Wednesday mornings, 9-11 a.m. in Cedar Hall at Camp Siloam, 3600 S. Lincoln St., Siloam Springs. Youth activities at First UMC
First United Methodist Church in Siloam Springs is hosting youth activities every Wednesday. Timothy Team is for kids kindergarten through sixth grade, beginning with a Snack’n’Play time at 5 p.m. with the service at 5:30 p.m. The Basement Student Ministries is for grades 7-12 at 6:45 p.m. Bus pickup is available. Eastgate Awana
Eastgate Baptist Church, 4950 Highway 412 E., offers Awana on Wednesday evenings at 6:30. Kids ranging from age 4 through sixth grade will study the word of God through games, devotion, and Bible reading. A free meal for the kids is served each Wednesday evening at 6. Hope’s Kitchen at Saint Mary
Hope’s Kitchen at Saint Mary Catholic Church provides free meals from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the first and third Friday of each month. Veterans, the homeless, needy, elderly, unemployed, lonely and any families with children are invited to the free home-cooked meal.
