Robert Wayne Barber
Robert Wayne Barber, 55, of Gentry, Ark., died at his home on Friday, July 10, 2020.
He was born on June 17, 1965, in Manila, Ark., a son of Robert Barber and Willie Hawkins Barber. He had worked several jobs including for Black and Decker before his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, all sports, especially Alabama Crimson Tide, the Celtics, Duke University, and the Patriots.
He is survived by five daughters, Jamie Barber of Tahlequah, Okla., Michelle Walker and husband Garrick of Grove, Okla., Christina Barber, Mandy Barber and Kelsey Barber all of Gentry; one brother, Anthony Ditto of Siloam Springs, Ark.; one sister, Janet James and husband Jason of Highfill, Ark.; five grandchildren; and a special friend, De Ann Linn of Gentry.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday, July 17, 2020, at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Siloam Springs. The graveside service will be held following the visitation at 1 p.m. Friday, July 17, 2020, at Gentry Cemetery. For the visitation, guests will be required to wear their own face mask, per guidelines set forth by the State of Arkansas.

Barbara Dellinger Atkinson Foreman
Barbara Dellinger Atkinson Foreman of Siloam Springs, Ark., passed peacefully from this earth on July 13,
2020, at Siloam Springs Nursing and Rehab.
Born October 26, 1931, in Siloam Springs, Ark., to Goldie Norton Dellinger Hardcastle and Luther Sherman Dellinger, she grew up in the Springtown Community, and later graduated Gentry schools as co-Valedictorian. She later moved to Wichita, Kan., where she earned her AA in Business/ Bookkeeping. While singing in a church choir there, Barbara met Ken Atkinson. They were married and later had two children, Marc David and Greg Doran. Ken, an engineer, worked in the aerospace industry which took them to Slidell, La., and later to Arlington, Texas.
Barbara worked as an Executive Assistant and Office Manager for various companies, retiring from Tappan/Electrolux. She then reacquainted with a high school alum, Charles Foreman, while at a multiclass reunion in Gentry. Barbara moved back to Siloam Springs and shortly after, they married.
Barbara was an avid reader who loved history, biographies and local and national politics. She often wrote letters to the editor of the area newspapers, and was a staunch member of the Siloam Springs Republican Women’s organization. She also volunteered for several years at the Choices Pregnancy Services Center.
Barbara was preceded in death by her father, mother; stepfather, R.C. Hardcastle; stepmother, Naomi Cash Dellinger; her husbands, Ken and Charles; and a brother, R. Lynn Dellinger.
She is survived by her two sons, Marc David and Greg Doran (Sharon) Atkinson; two brothers, G. Ronald Dellinger (Linda), A. Terry Dellinger (Sandy), stepsister, Nancy Hardcastle Stanfill; grandsons, Kenneth Gene and Scott Thomas Atkinson; three step-children, Charles Foreman Jr., Celia Foreman Weeks (Bruce), Karisha Foreman Starnes (Wade); as well as many other loving family members.
There will be a viewing at Wasson Funeral Home, 441 U.S.-412, Siloam Springs, AR 72761, on Friday 6- 7:30 p.m. (Masks Required). A service will be held at Covenant Church, 760 S. Lincoln St., Siloam Springs, AR 72761, at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 18, for family, friends and church family (Masks Required). Contact the church for reservation. Due to covid-19 guidelines, seating is limited and masks are required. A car parade celebration will be held at 10:40 in the parking lot of the church for those who cannot or do not feel comfortable to attend the service. The family will have a receiving line outside as well-wishers pass by to offer condolences.

Winston Leon Rowe
Winston Leon Rowe, 77, of Siloam Springs, Ark., died Friday, July 10, 2020, at the V.A. Medical Center in Fayetteville.
He was born on Aug. 21, 1942, in Claremore, Okla., the son of Curley Rowe and Oma Lucille Partain Rowe from Salina, Okla. He retired from the Siloam Springs Police Department after 27 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three daughters, Ladonna Asher, Dianne Buffington and Catayah Rowe; two sons, Blue Rowe and Justin Rowe; and one grandson, Justin Buffington.
He is survived by two sons, Curley Rowe of Westville and Winston Rowe of Greenbrier, Ark.; 10 grandchildren; and 12 greatgrandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 16, 2020, at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Chapel in Siloam Springs. Guests will be required to wear their own face mask and only 120 people will be permitted to attend per guidelines set forth by the State of Arkansas.

Nathan William Leon Ruple
Nathan William Leon Ruple, 2-month-old son of Christopher Ruple and Lainey Evans, died July 11, 2020, at OU Medical Center, Oklahoma City, Okla. He was born April 25, 2020, in Siloam Springs, Ark.
Survivors include his parents; paternal grandparents, Carmela Stroup of Proctor, Okla., and Mike Ruple of Toledo, Ohio; maternal grandparents Tina Thurman of Sallisaw, Okla., and John Evans of Huntsville, Ark.; greatgrandparents, Linda Hall of Toledo, Margie Thurman of Siloam Springs, Carol and Joyce Stroup of Proctor, Okla., and Shirley Evans of Wesley, Ark.; aunt, Lindsey Evans of Fayetteville, Ark.; and uncle, Michael Stroup of Proctor.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 16, 2020, at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, July 17, 2020, at 412 Fellowship Church in Siloam Springs. Burial will be at New Hope Cemetery, Chewey, Okla.

Carrie Marie Neal Thompson
Carrie Marie Neal Thompson, 77, of Decatur, Ark., died Friday, July 10, 2020, at her home.
She was born on June 21, 1943, in Bennett,
Mo., to
Charles Edgar Neal and Dorina Mabel (Coursey) Neal. Her family moved from southeast Missouri to Colorado, Michigan and Tulsa, Okla. She graduated from Ozark Adventist Academy in Gentry, Ark., in 1961.
She went on to attend Union College in Lincoln, Neb., where she met her husband Fred Thompson. They were married on Aug. 11, 1963.
The couple moved to Loma Linda, Calif., so Fred could attend Loma Linda University. After he graduated with a degree in physical therapy, they moved to South Carolina for several years so he could take a job as a clinic director then moved to Decatur in 1976 so he could take a job at the Gravette Medical Center Hospital in Gravette, Ark. While living in Northwest Arkansas, she attended John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Ark.
She was a long-time member of the Gentry Seventhday Adventist Church in Gentry, Ark. She served for many years on the church board and as chairman of the Total Life Community Center board. She also worked for several years as an executive assistant at the KSBN Television Station in Springdale, Ark.
She enjoyed reading, art, music and had many creative and artistic talents. She also enjoyed travel, nature and spending time outdoors, and especially spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant sister, Charla Rue Neal; and a brother, Alfred Neal.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years; a daughter, Janelle Jessen and husband James of Decatur; three grandchildren, Emily, Isaac and Adriana Jessen; a brother, Charles “Chuck” Neal and wife Connie of Butte Valley, Calif.; and a sister-in-law, Helen Rogers and husband Bobby of Siloam Springs; along with many nieces and nephews, family members and friends.
Visitation was held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2020. Funeral Services will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at the Gentry Seventhday Adventist Church. Burial will follow at the Tahlequah City Cemetery in Tahlequah, Okla.
For the funeral service, guests will be limited to 250 people and everyone will be required to wear their own face mask, per the guidelines set forth by the State of Arkansas.

Ronald William Wood
Ronald William Wood, 50, of Bentonville, Ark., died July 13, 2020, at his home.
He was born on March 21, 1970, in Gravette,
Ark., to
Ronald Wood and Betty Metcalf Wood. He graduated from Siloam Springs High School. He owned and operated I Pools & Spas, installing and cleaning pools. He was a member of Cross Pointe Community Church in Tontitown, Ark.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald
Wood; daughter, Holly Wood; and his grandparents.
He is survived by his mother, Betty Wood of Bentonville; son, Bryer Wood of Athens, Texas; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, Ark. For the visitation, guests will be limited to 150 people at one time and everyone will be required to wear their own face mask, per the guidelines set forth by the State of Arkansas.
Graveside services will be 4 p.m. Thursday, July 16, 2020, at Gentry Cemetery in Gentry, Ark., with Pastor Rick Mercer officiating
