Wesley Wayne Potter, 60, of Colcord, Okla., died Thursday, March 2, 2023, at his home.

He was born Aug. 18, 1962 in Gravette, Ark., to Zack Potter and Nina BennettPot­ter.

He attended Colcord Public Schools and became a rancher and drove a school bus. He was an avid bass fisherman and also enjoyed hunting and watching sports.

He is preceded in death by his mother; sister, Peggy Nichols; paternal grandparen­ts, Tone Potter and Dora Potter; and maternal grandparen­ts, Charles Bennett and Gladys Bennett-Bond.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Potter, of the home; his dad; son, Jerome Potter and wife, Shannon of Twin Oaks, Okla.; daughter, Cammi Turtle and partner, Terrance Miller of Tulsa, Okla.; brother, Melvin Potter and wife, Debbie of Jay, Okla.; three sisters, Beverly Davis and husband, Raymond of Colcord, Ruby Snell and husband, Chug of Twin Oaks, and Debbie Byrd and husband, Roger of Kansas, Okla.; brother-inlaw, Paul Nichols of Kansas, Okla.; three grandchild­ren and numerous nephews and nieces; and many other loved ones.

A visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday, March 10, 2023, at BackstromP­yeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs, Arkansas.

The funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 11, 2023 at the Kansas High School Dome in Kansas, Okla. Burial will follow at Clouds Creek Cemetery in Jay, Okla. Pastor Mark Sherrell will officiate the service.
