ROUGH RIDERS snowmobile’s Associations
Today as I write the weather forecast is for colder weather. I put the boat away and pulled the snowmobile trailer in front of it. I’m ready for the white fluffy stuff. The 7th game of the World Series is on and ND’s winter season is right around the corner.
The Rough Riders just finished a busy triple event weekend with great member participation and lots of success. We helped our Arctic Cat dealer host an open house with the 509 Trailer as a special draw. Our club served hot dogs, pop and chips to all who came along and sold raffle tickets and memberships. It was a successful day even though the weather was warm and it seemed at first that everyone would stay home and rake leaves, go fishing, attend a football game or some other outside activity. We also participated with SND at the Bismarck Civic Center Outdoor Sportsman’s Show and sold memberships and raffle tickets. On top of those two events, we held a Show and Shine display of 29 snowmobiles, 2 side by side ATVs, a double place trailer, and a TV running snowmobile movies at the Kirkwood Mall. Our members were kept busy discussing snowmobiles with interested people and selling raffle tickets and memberships when possible. Final count on the sales is not available, but it seemed to be a very productive weekend as a result of our efforts.
Our trail signing work is all but finished and our next club event will be the Dealer Demo Day on December 13th. Pray for snow and be safe riding on it.
