TWO FOR THE SHOW
Kristen bursts into Marlena’s hospital room, ready to finish the job of killing her. A frightened Hattie reveals her true identity. Kristen leaves.
Roman encourages John to go ahead and marry Hattie, as the wedding won’t be legal anyway. However, Hattie secretly procures a marriage certificate with her name on it. With Belle as a witness, Abe pronounces Hattie and John husband and wife.
In her hospital room, Marlena finally wakes up — and finds a gun-toting Kristen at her bedside.
RELEASE ME
Stefan is shocked to discover Sami in the secret room. Sami races out to try to find Kristen before she hurts anyone else. Later, she returns to the manse and demands to know what Kristen told Stefan about EJ. Stefan lies, claiming they didn’t talk about EJ. A dubious Sami offers to give back the Dimera fortune she stole if he tells the truth. Stefan is tempted, but ultimately declines.
FRAME WORK
Hope learns that Rafe and Shawn re-analyzed the evidence against Ben. Rafe then gets word that the evidence was planted. Hope insists she’s innocent, but still believes Ben is guilty. Rafe urges her to free Ben before things turn ugly.
AWAKE AND ALIVE
Abe leaves to file the marriage certificate. John, who discovers that Hattie put her name on it, almost reveals the truth. Hattie warns him that she’ll expose the Marlena switcheroo scheme if he does. Hattie then shares that Kristen came by with a gun, looking for Marlena.
Just as Kristen is about to shoot Marlena, Kayla enters and stops her. Roman comes in next and he
and Kristen struggle for the gun, which goes off. Roman is hurt when part of the ceiling falls on his head. Kristen takes the opportunity to go after Marlena, but Kayla scares her off. John arrives and is grateful to find Marlena up and okay. The two share a romantic reunion. She asks why she’s being kept hidden; he explains about the Hattie switch. Marlena is dismayed to hear that John married Hattie. The conversation turns to Sami. Marlena recalls there was a second shooter in the bushes.
MIXED MESSAGES
Eve visits “Marlena” for some professional advice. “Marlena” advises Eve to lay into Brady for being so unforgiving. Paul, meanwhile, talks to Brady and urges him to consider Eve’s good intentions where Tate is concerned. Eve and Brady meet up, and Brady is stunned that she’s so combative with him. He leaves her for good.
Sami challenges the wisdom of Will staying with Paul out of duty. Nevertheless, Will later asks Paul to move in together.
CLOSE TO YOU
Ciara and Tripp make love for the first time. Their happy afterglow is interrupted by the return of Ben, who has been freed. He assumes it’s okay to continue living there, but Ciara surprises both him and Tripp when she declares that he needs to go.
I SHALL BE RELEASED
Sami visits her mother and quickly deduces that it’s Hattie. Kayla enters and Sami demands to know where Marlena is. When Kayla refuses to answer, Sami storms out and is apprehended by Eli, who arrests her for violating her bail by breaking into the Dimera mansion.
John has the bullet fragments matched against Kristen’s gun. At the station, he shares Marlena’s memory with Sami. Eli reveals that the bullet didn’t match; Sami is set free.
AWAY WE GO
Kristen shows up in Brady’s room and tries to persuade him to run away with her. She says she knows all about his Nicole blackmail. Realizing there’s nothing keeping him in town, Brady leaves with her.
Eric asks Chloe for help finding Nicole .... Victor admits to Maggie that Nicole killed Deimos. Maggie decides to tell Eric the truth about where Nicole is. Executive Producer: Ken Corday
