DAYS OF OUR LIVES Gabi/abby Twist
Gabi’s up to her twisted tricks, but the jig could soon be up now that Abigail begins to suspect something’s amiss.
Gabi once again drugs Abby, then apologizes for causing trouble. “She explains that she does feel a little bit bad about what she’s doing, but she needs to do this to level the scales,” says Camila Banus (Gabi).
Abigail mutters that she doesn’t believe her before passing out, “but Gabi’s not worried. I don’t think she cares,” concludes Banus. Gabi forges onward, taking Abigail to the Dimera mansion and dressing her up like Gabby. Later, Abigail awakens, just as Stefan comes home and thinks Gabby has returned to him. “Gabi wants Stefan to think Gabby is back,” explains Banus, noting that it might actually bring Gabby to the surface. “Then, she’d really be insane and be sent to Bayview.”
Meanwhile, Gabi deliberately injures herself during her convoluted scheme and tells Chad that Abigail attacked her. However, he isn’t completely convinced. “He has some questions,” says Banus, whose alter ego still won’t be deterred. “Gabi’s past the point of no return.”
GENERAL HOSPITAL Kiki And Griffin Make Love
Kiki and Griffin take a major step forward in their burgeoning relationship and sleep together for the first time since their post-nurses’ Ball tryst.
Although Griffin has only recently broken up with her mother, “They’re feeling optimistic,” reports Co-head Writer Chris Van Etten. “Their origins as friends and beyond are rather complicated, given the events of the past six or seven months. But that aside, their feelings for each other are uncomplicated; they’re very sincere. They don’t have ulterior motives with each other.”
The duo ends up ditching their plans to attend the Port Charles Film Festival when Griffin gets tickets to the wrong flick. “They decide to beat a retreat before subjecting themselves to two and a half hours of German industrial pop art and have a movie night of their own back at Kiki’s apartment.” And, winks the scribe, “When you roll out a blanket on the floor and get a tub of licorice and put on a classic romance, one thing tends to lead to another.”
YOUNG AND RESTLESS Kyle Stumbles Onto A Secret
Kyle comes home to find Dina frantically searching through the house. “She’s agitated and Kyle has always had a soft spot for his grandmother and will do anything he can to make her feel secure,” says Michael Mealor (Kyle). “She keeps rattling on about something at the office.”
Dina then talks about a safe in “John’s” office at Jabot that Kyle has never come across. “Part of him wants to help settle her down but another part is telling him, ‘She’s so specific about what she’s saying that this is worth exploring,’ ” Mealor explains. “He decides to see where this thing goes. All he’s doing is driving her over to Jabot, so what could it hurt?”
The pair arrives at Jabot and Kyle is stunned to find a wall safe just where Dina claimed it would be. “He’s curious that the safe was sealed up behind paneling and he wonders if there’s something worth exploring inside,” Mealor notes. “He’s able to get the safe open and he’s stunned by what he finds inside. It’s a nuclear bomb waiting to happen.”
BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL Charlie Proposes To Pam
After a five-year courtship, FC security chief Charlie finally pops the question to his beloved Pammy. “I don’t think she believed this day would ever come,” chuckles Alley Mills (Pam). “I don’t want to give away all the sweet details but it happens in the kitchen — what a surprise, right? They’re over at Eric and Quinn’s having lunch, so Pam and Charlie are in the kitchen cooking, which is actually kind of an odd thing to do, but Pam is just thrilled to have lunch somewhere other than having sandwiches in the security office.”
Mills admits that even she was surprised at how touching the proposal is. “It’s an incredibly sweet scene,” she teases. “Mr. [Dick] Christie really showed up; when Charlie actually proposes, he’s very vulnerable, and Pam is genuinely moved. The fans are going to love it because not only is it emotional, but we get to see another side to this couple. We don’t know much about their life together, other than the fact that these are two awkward people, but Charlie says things here that he has never said before.” As for Pam’s reply, “She can’t wait to tell the world,” Mills smiles.
