B&B: IS KELLY BILL'S DAUGHTER?

■ Ever since Bill and Steffy’s fateful one-night stand, B&B fans have been wondering if there could have been some kind of paternity slipup and Bill, not Liam, is baby Kelly’s father. It’s something that Don Diamont (Bill, r.) has thought about, too. “All the time, actually,” states the actor. “And I get that question from fans all the time, as well. I just tell them that their guess is as good as mine.”

Diamont hopes that at some point, the possibility could become a reality. “Talk about conflict!” he chuckles. “But I think it’d be really fun and it would certainly affect a lot of people on the canvas. Right now, Bill is trying to pick up the pieces of his broken family. He’s back on good terms with Brooke. He lost custody of Will, but he and Liam have made a little progress. Baby steps. Those scenes where Liam placed Kelly into Bill’s arms are some of the most emotional scenes I’ve ever done. Imagine if things keep progressing. All the cylinders are working with the family stuff and then this [paternity issue] were to come up? Boom!”

As for the fallout, Diamont surmises. “It would open a whole, emotional, connected can of worms for Bill and Steffy and Liam and Ridge and Brooke and more, I’m sure. I think that’d be really interesting, and it would obviously create a lot of drama — which is what we do. It would certainly be different, like ‘outside the box’ different.” Diamont stresses, however, that this is all in theory. ‘Make no mistake. I have no idea what’s ahead. This is just me wondering along with the fans, but I’d be curious to see if anything ever comes of it.”
