BABY COME BACK
After breaking up with Phyllis, Billy heads to the GCAC, where he encounters Summer. He takes her up on her offer of comfort and they sleep together. Meanwhile, Sharon is determined to move on without Nick, but he’s set on winning her back. Nick tries speaking with Sharon at the coffeehouse, but Rey senses her discomfort and intervenes, angering Nick.
Phyllis discovers that Summer mentioned her affair with Nick in front of Mariah. Nick and Phyllis run into each other and discuss the fallout of their mistake. Sharon spots them together and condemns their infidelity.
CLOSE TO YOU
While talking about their broken marriages, Sharon mistakenly assumes Rey is interested in her romantically, but he assures that he’s just offering friendship, and invites Sharon to dine with him and Lola. At dinner, Lola notes their closeness and warns Rey that he’s still married and in no position to pursue Sharon. Their dinner is interrupted by Nick, who grows suspicious of her friendship with Rey.
HARD CELL
Cane visits Lily in prison and is surprised to find that her time behind bars has already hardened her. Lily is frustrated by his inability to understand this new side of her and they argue. Cane apologizes and they make up.
PROTECTIVE MODE
Before Noah returns to Mumbai, he makes peace with Tessa and asks her to be good to Mariah. Meanwhile, Summer is saddened when she wakes up and finds Billy has left for the rehab center. She leaves him messages of
support and that she’ll wait for him. Later, Summer grows insecure when she sees Kyle moving on with Lola. Tessa fills Lola in on Summer, and Lola resolves not to be shaken by Kyle’s ex, despite Summer’s attempts to sabotage their relationship. Arturo and Rey hear about Lola’s relationship with Kyle, and quickly become overprotective. Their interference annoys Lola, especially when Rey informs her that Kyle was recently arrested for digging up a grave.
KICKING ASH
With Billy out at Jabot, Ashley pressures Traci to overturn the blood Abbott clause so that she can run for the CEO position. Once that’s done, Kyle suggests to Jack that he make a bid for CEO, but despite their efforts, Ashley is voted in. Jack offers his sister a sincere congratulations, and Ashley feels guilty for her power grab.
Kyle is annoyed when Ashley refuses to promote him to COO. She says she can’t trust him after what he did to Billy. At the GCAC, Ashley is approached by Andrew, who threatens to reveal Ashley’s secret unless she pays up. Annoyed, Ashley shoots him down, so Andrew goes to Kyle, offering information on his boss, for a price. Kyle tips off Jack that Ashley might be dealing with some shady people, so Jack confronts his sister. Ashley orders Kyle and Jack to back down, then informs Andrew that their partnership is over.
Kyle pushes
Jack to call a board meeting to investigate Ashley’s payments to Type A Consulting. Ashley introduces the board to Andrew, and explains he’s been doing topsecret research for Jabot. The board is satisfied, but before they can leave, Phyllis enters and recognizes Andrew from when she worked in a DNA lab. Andrew and Ashley’s story begins to unravel, and Jack eventually gets Ashley to admit the truth: She paid Andrew to fake the results of Jack’s paternity tests, which means he has been John’s son all along!
