Since it took place in the early ’70s, this dress still had a ’60s con­nec­tion to it, and I added a flower chain belt around the waist that re­ally gave it more of a ’60s feel. El­lie and Sass, a salon in Venice, CA. “We do nails, we do lashes and fa­cials and wax­ing and mi­crob­lad­ing for brows, so I learn some­thing new ev­ery day,” she re­ports. “I had no knowl­edge about any of these things!” In terms of her own rou­tine, “I’m get­ting more fa­cials since we opened, which is noth­ing to com­plain about. And thank­fully, I get to go to work at GH with a fab­u­lous man­i­cure, al­ways. I’m al­ways thank­ful be­cause there’s al­ways, like, a close-up shot on my hand when I’m hold­ing the flash drive or some­thing. I’ve also got­ten re­ally good with lashes, and I’ve ac­tu­ally been putting on in­di­vid­ual lashes at the show. It’s an on­go­ing joke with the girl who’s been do­ing my makeup that I’m like some sort of lash wizard be­cause I’m trained so well from my salon, how I can keep on fake, in­di­vid­ual lashes for a week. Ev­ery day I get to work and she’s like, ‘I can’t be­lieve it! They’re still on!’ It’s my party trick!”
