QUITTING TIME?

Rey’s investigation into J.T.’S murder redoubles the stress on Sharon, Victoria, Nikki and Phyllis. Phyllis realizes that they need to put the kibosh on their group meetings and declares that their partnership is over. The other women

agree, but Rey’s work continues; he summons the Newmans for questioning, and clearly believes that Victor is the culprit. A jittery Nikki entreats Sharon to use her influence with Rey to glean information

about the case. Sharon balks and decides to resign from her job. She informs Rey, citing their complicated feelings for one another. Rey promises to keep things professional and convinces her not to quit.

EASIER SAID THAN DONE

Sharon and Rey remain drawn to one another and end up sharing a passionate kiss. Sharon accepts Rey’s invitation to meet him at his place later to explore what is growing between them. As he awaits Sharon, Rey is caught off-guard by the surprise arrival of his estranged wife, Mia. Mia asserts that she won’t give up on their union and insists on moving in with her

husband. Sharon shows up and finds them together. Sharon suppresses her hurt, wanting to give Rey space to work on his marriage. A determined Mia tries to move her reunion with Rey to the bedroom, but he rebuffs her. Mia’s sense that Rey’s interest in Sharon is more than platonic increases when she learns that Sharon is not only Rey’s landlord, but his co-worker. Mia confronts Sharon, ordering her to stay away from Rey.

PLUS ONE

Mia makes new connections in town, doing Phyllis’s hair and makeup for the launch party and hitting it off with Abby at the coffeehouse. Arturo steps in, informing Abby that Mia is Rey’s wife and discouraging Abby from bonding with her. Undeterred, Abby invites Mia to the Jaboutique party.

THE TRUTH HURTS

Mariah seeks out Devon and Kyle for relationship advice. Their counsel inspires her to return to Tessa’s place. Desperate to salvage her romance, Tessa reluctantly spills to Mariah that she got the money from

Nikki, whom she was blackmailing, and that Nikki, Phyllis, Victoria and Sharon are responsible for J.T.’S death. She recaps how she found a video of the women lugging the body, and shows it to Mariah. Overwhelmed and aghast, Mariah runs out in tears.

BROTHERLY LOVE

Kyle hires Lola to cater the Jaboutique launch party when the original vendor backs out. At the bash, Nick and Phyllis reveal their reconciliation to the public. They are rattled when Billy and Sharon arrive together. Despite the tension between then, Phyllis sings Billy’s praises to the press, crediting him with conceiving Jaboutiques. Arturo has words with Mia when he finds her with Abby; Rey orders him to back down. In dramatic fashion, Mia loudly divulges that her separation from Rey was caused by the affair she had with Arturo.

?? ?? Will Mariah be able to get past this latest stunt by Tessa (Cait Fairbanks, l.)? Camryn Grimes answers:“Mariah knows that Tessa isn’t this cunning, poised criminal, she’s just a girl trying to get by. However, Mariah’s trust has been really shaken, so it’ll be tough.”
