SUCCESS RATE

Gabi wants to celebrate the success of her plan, but Kate is upset that she is gloating over Abigail being committed. Chad knocks on Kate’s door so Gabi hides. Chad tells Kate that putting Abby away was the hardest thing he’s ever had to do.

Chad runs into Ben, who asks him about Abigail. Chad blasts him .... JJ visits his sister and assures her that baby Charlotte is fine.

Jennifer goes to see her granddaugh­ter at the hospital. Stefan scolds her for entering Charlotte’s room when he prohibited visitors. Kayla has to separate them. Later, JJ tells Kayla about Abigail’s theory that Gabi drugged her. Kayla privately recalls Gabi requesting sedatives.

Chad and Jennifer discuss Abby. Jennifer slaps him and rakes him over the coals for kidnapping her daughter and handing Charlotte over to Stefan.

TRIPPED UP

After being spooked by Ben, Wyatt wants to give Claire her money back and get out of the deal to take the fall for Tripp. Claire gives him more money.

Ben spies them together and confronts Wyatt after.

Ciara notes to Tripp that she doesn’t believe that Wyatt would go to such lengths for her. Tripp defends Wyatt, which surprises Ciara. They make love. While Tripp is in the shower after, Ciara arranges to meet Wyatt.

She runs into Ben instead, who tells her that Wyatt has left. Ben then reveals that it wasn’t Wyatt who framed him: It was Tripp.

TARGET PRACTICE

Gabi visits Abigail and confirms that she’s been gaslightin­g her. Gabi delights in the fact that nobody will believe Abigail if she tries to tell them the truth. A furious Abby lunges at Gabi, just as Chad comes in. Abigail swears to Chad that Gabi has the wig, but Gabi manages to hide it. Chad takes the incident

as proof of Abigail’s mental instabilit­y. She is restrained.

GO THE DISTANCE

Abe fumes when Sheila fails to show up for her first day of work. Lani goes looking for Sheila and Eli and finds them in a compromisi­ng-looking position. Eli explains that Sheila was up all night with food poisoning and they overslept. Sheila goes to the station, where Abe doesn’t buy her excuses. Later, she throws up on his shoes. Eli calls Lani on her jealousy. She denies it, but he is left with some hope that they may have a future together.

Valerie informs Abe that she got a job offer as chief of staff at her former hospital in Washington, D.C. Abe isn’t on board with a long-distance romance, and they end up fighting. After Valerie leaves, Sheila tells Abe that he’s being selfish.

PLAN B

A stunned Ciara confronts Tripp, who admits the truth. He insists he did it to protect her. Ciara points out that she and Tripp slept together under false pretenses. He is thrown to realize that she wouldn’t have made love to him had she known Ben was innocent. Tripp demands to know if Ciara has feelings for Ben. When Ciara can’t deny it, Tripp ends things with her.

Claire freaks out when she discovers that Wyatt returned the money she paid him off with. She goes looking for Wyatt, and finds Ben. He says he thought they were working together and wonders why she was helping Tripp. Claire assures him that it’s all going to work out in their favor. Claire heads home, where Tripp tells her that he and Ciara are through. Claire is thrilled.

GIVING THANKS

On Thanksgivi­ng, Will shows up at the Kiriakis manse at Adrienne’s behest, but Victor refuses to welcome him because of how Will hurt Sonny. Victor is also rude when Sarah shows up with Eric. Eric agrees to leave after visiting with Holly. When Sarah saves Victor from choking, he has a change of heart and asks Eric to stay. Justin and Adrienne grab a turkey sandwich and invite Will to join them. Will is thrilled when Sonny shows up, a surprise Victor arranged for Maggie because he realizes he has a lot to be thankful for.

Doug and Julie host Thanksgivi­ng dinner at Doug’s Place. Eli invites Sheila, but Julie mistakes her for a dishwasher, which leads to fireworks. Later, as the group goes around the table and says what they’re thankful for, Abe and Valerie reconcile and agree to give long-distance a chance.
