Gilles Marini (Ted Laurent): Ted returns this week and promptly crosses paths with Hope (Kristian Alfonso). “I knew I was coming back,” shares Marini. “I love this family. It’s just a little bit too good to be true.” See page 8 for more. Thia Megia (Haley
Chen): Megia has been hired on the soap in a new part. “It’s surreal,” the AMERICAN IDOL alum said at the Day of DAYS event. “As far as my character, she’s had to endure so much in her past, and to take on a role where she’s just full of strength and she’s such a vast character with so much depth, I’m just so grateful that they chose me to tell her story. It’s been amazing.” Look for her to interact with JJ (Casey Moss).

Kelly Sullivan (Becky): Jackson’s (Matthew Noszka) mother meets Star (Jude Demorest), which leads to a surprising revela- tion. The soap vet (ex-sage, Y&R; ex-kate/connie, GH) airs on November 28.
Ben Vereen (Calvin): The Tony-winner begins his recurring role as Carlotta’s (Queen Latifah) father on November 28.
YOUNG AND RESTLESS
Zach Tinker (Fenmore Baldwin): The newcomer has been tapped to play Lauren (Tracey E. Bregman) and Michael’s (Christian J. Leblanc) son and makes his Genoa City premiere on December 3. Previous portrayer Max Erich was unavailable to reprise the role.
