Soap Opera Digest - - ROUNDUP -

For “J&M” fans, it’s hard to choose their most romantic wedding — we got as many votes for “all their weddings” as we did for the individual ceremonies and vow renewals from 1986, 1999, 2002, 2006 and 2018. The superduo’s 1991 reunion on the Salem pier four years after she was thought to have perished in a plane crash was a clear favorite, though. One fan recalled, “After her being ‘dead’ for years, when he sees her through the fog ... with the violins ... the lighting ... Through tears, he sees her, with trembling hand, he touches her face and every single ‘J&M’ fan just falls apart sobbing over how romantically perfect the moment was and how amazingly perfect the DHS [portrayers Drake Hogestyn and Deidre Hall] were and still are.” Echoed another viewer, “The tears, touches and first kiss left me breathless and made for my all-time favorite DAYS moment.” In second place? Their 1993 lovemaking on the plane (after a two-year drought in which Marlena had reunited with Roman). “I wore out my VCR over that one!” one reader chuckled.
