What was your best and worst of the past year?

-

Beth Maitland (Traci, Y&R)

“The best was my fall return to Y&R and the amazing work I got to do with my Abbott family. Seriously, it was the highlight of what has been a difficult couple of years for me in my private life, and although Eileen’s [Davidson, ex-ashley] leaving the show was the unfortunate reason, the storytelling to me was some of the best in years. The worst: Not being closer to my gorgeous and talented daughter, who is in England getting her masters in bassoon performance at the Royal Academy of Music. I miss her so much, but I am so very proud of her!”

Eden Mccoy (Josslyn, GH)

“Probably the best thing that happened to me this year was committing to USC for beach volleyball. That happened in March. That’s actually the best thing that’s ever happened in my life, quite honestly! The worst thing was that I broke up with my boyfriend that I’ve had since I was barely 14. That was really hard. It’s been rough but I’m just focusing on myself and school and work.”

Gina Tognoni (Phyllis, Y&R)

“My best is that I was challenged with more story with so many amazing actors, new and veterans alike. Worst — this year flew by too quickly.”

Casey Moss (JJ, DAYS)

“It’s interesting, because the suicide episode

[with JJ on

Christmas Eve 2017] was a high and a low at the same time.”

Sal Stowers (Lani, DAYS)

“The best parts? As hard as that [baby] storyline was for Lani and for myself as an artist, it grew me in so many ways as an artist, so that was a really good moment for me. I felt it really showed what I can do as an actress. So that was a good moment. Not such a good moment? I lost my grandmother right when I was filming all of this stuff, so that was a really horrible moment.”

Annika Noelle (Hope, B&B)

“One of the best was, obviously, getting to be a part of B&B. I began airing on January 8, and I’m almost up on a year and I am so grateful for the amazing year I’ve had here. For the worst, that I haven’t yet been able to adopt a dog because my schedule doesn’t allow it. I’ve wanted to adopt for a long time but I’d never be home, and that’s not fair to the dog. However, I’m living vicariously through Jacqui [Macinnes Wood, Steffy] and Courtney [Hope, Sally] and everyone else on set who has a dog. But, I do volunteer and foster when I can!”

Jennifer Gareis (Donna, B&B)

“I found a really nice balance between being a mom and a working woman. I feel like I just got into that groove. The worst thing? I’ve had some friends pass, and that’s sad. I feel really bad for their families. When someone is 80 or 90 and lived a good life, that’s one thing, but when somebody is in their 40s or younger and that happens, it’s just heart-wrenching.”
