BIGGEST WASTE OF SCREEN TIME I MEXICAN GETAWAY, DAYS
We thought (hoped?) we had seen the last of The Noodle, er, El Fideo when Theresa was forced to leave Salem to be with him last year, but the cartoon villain returned, this time in a silly tale that shifted the action to “Mexico”. Don’t get us wrong — we’re always happy to see Jen Lilley (Theresa) back on the canvas, but her comeback served zero purpose, unless the writers were looking for a way to unburden Brady of having a kid in town. Chloe became the unwitting object of El Fideo’s affection and was taken to Mexico against her will, where she was forced to sing opera to him. Xander appeared (this guy gets around!) and though he was in league with the drug lord, helped Theresa return to Salem, where she tried in vain to force Brady to sleep with her. (As for Chloe? John and Paul donned their mercenary costumes to rescue her.) A snoozy custody battle over Tate ensued, and in the end, Theresa headed West with him to California and we were left wondering why this story was told at all.
