After she was framed for Andre’s murder, ripped from daughter Arianna’s life and suffered a beating in prison that left her infertile, Gabi underwent a metamorphosis that catapulted her to the storyline forefront. By the time Gabi was finally set free, the catastrophic experience had left her bitter, angry and hell-bent on revenge against Abigail and Stefan, who landed her in prison in the first place. To that end, she switched Abby’s paternity test, naming Stefan, not Chad, the dad, then set about gaslighting Abigail and convincing everyone that her DID had returned. Actress Camila Banus rose to the occasion, fully embracing Gabi’s new bad girl persona, delighting in every twist and turn the writers threw her way. Sure, Gabi has certainly done some questionable things over the years that haven’t made her easy to like, but somehow, her most current heinous acts make us love (to hate?) her.
