WORST TRIANGLE I JASON/SAM/DREW, GH

-

Going into 2018, we would have bet good money that the saga of Sam being torn between two brothers would be a front-burning, fan-fervor-inspiring fount of steamy, soapy goodness. But for all its inherent potential — what could be more dramatic than Sam marrying Jason’s brainwashed twin while Jason was presumed dead?! — this was a triangle that never really got going. The “Jasam” supporters and the “Dream” believers may disagree about who Sam’s Mr. Right is, but both camps clearly wanted to see the fellas fight for Sam. Instead, Drew dropped out of the race altogether, while Jason, pledging not to pressure his one-time missus, kept a distance so respectful, he had practically zero physical contact with the woman that he was married to and had a kid with before his stint as Patient 6. It’s a crying shame, at least in soap terms, that these three sexy adults spent the great majority of the year celibate — that makes it six nookie-free years for Jason, if you’re counting. There is a ton of untapped sizzle among these players; we’d love to see it ignite in 2019.
