DAYS’S Mary Beth Evans and Stephen Nichols when Kayla removed Steve’s patch; Sal Stowers upon the death of Lani’s baby; Drake Hogestyn (John) in the wake of Marlena’s shooting; and Stacy Haiduk, who awesomely met the major challenge of taking over for Eileen Davidson as Kristen and Susan. GH’S Kirsten Storms and Michelle Stafford as Maxie and Nina grieved for Nathan; Roger Howarth and Jon Lindstrom in the Franco/kevin therapy scenes; Maurice Benard as Sonny coped with Mike’s deterioration; and Maura West (Ava) in the wake of Kiki’s death. Y&R’S Peter Bergman and Eileen Davidson as Jack and Ashley’s estrangement reached its boil; Jason Thompson as Billy fell back into the throes of addiction; and Bryton James as Devon struggled to move through his agony over Hilary’s death.
