■ How is Donna feeling about the fact that she and once-rival Pam are BFF now? “Well, it shows you what kind of person Donna is: It’s kind of funny that she can actually laugh about the potentially dangerous situations Pam put her in. It’s a big person who can actually laugh about it now.”

Do you have a favorite prank that Pam pulled on Donna? “The pre-wedding pranks were just so non-stop. I just looked so sad, because Donna was about to get married, and I remember it was hard for us not to laugh.”

It wasn’t just Pam harassing Donna. Stephanie tried to drown her in the bathtub. “I just adored working with Susan Flannery [ex-stephanie]. She was my mentor when I first started, because there were so many times I just didn’t know what to do with a scene, and I could always turn to her. I didn’t think at the time I was young, but now I look back and think, ‘Wow I was really young.’ She really helped me.”

How is Donna feeling about Quinn? “Let me say that I don’t think Donna came to L.A. to ruin Eric’s marriage. She had no intention of causing him any trouble or anxiety. She doesn’t want to turn his life upside down; she respects him. If he’s happy, that’s great, but maybe Donna suspects that Quinn and Eric aren’t exactly a good match, especially when Quinn starts showing a different side. When Donna questions that, she could have some new ideas, but I don’t think that’s seriously in her mind yet.”

Does Donna realize what Pam is up to? “She does think that perhaps Pam is fantasizing about replacing Quinn with Donna and trying to manipulate the situation in her favor, because she knows that Donna would allow Pam to be married at the house — and live at the house if she wanted. She wouldn’t be threatened by her, but I think Quinn is threatened by the memory of Stephanie, which is probably why she wants Pam out of the picture so badly. Whatever the writers do with it, it’s going to be fun. I see it potentially going in a lot of different directions, and any of them would be fun.”

Should things not work with Eric, Donna does have a history with a number of men on the canvas.

“Yes, she does, doesn’t she? Let’s see, she almost married Thorne. She flirted with Ridge. She has kissed Bill. She was married to Justin. She has been a busy girl. Can we say promiscuous [laughs]?

So yes, there is a whole realm of possibilities open to her.”

Is there someone you’d want to work with more?

“The ghost of Stephanie! Maybe Donna starts hallucinating? I don’t know, but it would be a blast.”
