EASY LOVER
B&B’S Courtney Hope (Sally) admits that filming Wyatt (Darin Brooks) and Sally’s first love scene wasn’t nearly as sexy and romantic as it appeared on-screen. “It was very technical,” recalls Hope. “There were lots of different angles, like shooting through the fireplace and all that stuff. Since they got together so quickly — it was like speed dating, only faster [laughs]
— Darin and I really wanted to make it work. Darin is very professional, so it was very easy and it was very comfortable. We talked ahead of time about exactly what it needed to be, and we agreed that it needed to be really primal, because that’s what it was really about. It wasn’t about this romantic, ‘I love you’ type of thing. That wasn’t even in the cards at that point. It was more like, ‘I’m lonely, and you’re here.’ I really appreciated that moment because there was a lot of depth to it. Usually, our moments in general tend to be jokey and fun and lighthearted, and because this was so the opposite, that first love scene still stands out for me.”
