Bill and Brooke’s union was annulled; she married Ridge. Bill proposed to Steffy; she declined. When Bill was shot in the back by an unseen assailant, there was a long list of suspects. Hope told Brooke that she still loved Liam and hired him at FC, where they reconnected. Steffy and Liam annulled their union. Bill fed Wyatt false information that he and Steffy were back on, which spoiled Liam’s attempt to reconcile with her. Liam proposed to Hope and they made love. When Wyatt realized he had been duped, he came clean at Liam and Hope’s wedding. Hope postponed the nups. Bill seethed and cut Wyatt off. After an argument with Bill, Steffy fell and went into premature labor. Steffy welcomed baby Kelly, and Liam called off his engagement, devastating Hope. Hope discovered she was pregnant. Justin’s niece, Emma, got an internship at Forrester. She began dating Maya’s cousin Xander, who also worked there. Their burgeoning romance was torpedoed by the arrival of his ex, Zoe, who got a job modeling for FC and made Emma jealous. When Xander wanted to go to the next level, Emma told him she wasn’t ready. Emma vented to BFF Tiffany, then ultimately decided she needed space from Xander and they split. Zoe’s father, Reese, moved to L.A., much to her chagrin. Reese and Taylor hit it off. Charlie proposed to Pam, who happily accepted. Quinn didn’t want their wedding to take place at the Forrester manse, which led to bad blood between Pam and Quinn. Donna moved back to L.A. While planning Brooke and Ridge’s wedding, Katie and Thorne grew closer. She and Wyatt got engaged, but when an incensed Bill threatened to sue for custody of Will, they split. Wyatt hooked up with Sally, who moved in with him and began working at Forrester. So did Wyatt. Katie moved on with Thorne, who urged her to fight for full custody of Will. They got married to make their case stronger. Determined to stick it to Bill, Ridge met with his old pal Judge Mcmullen, and persuaded him to rule in Katie’s favor. Bill was devastated. A suspicious Brooke discovered Ridge’s link to Mcmullen. When Steffy spied Bill kissing Brooke and told Ridge, Ridge and Thorne confronted Bill. A fight ensued and Ridge pushed Bill over the balcony. Bill woke up and vowed to Brooke he’d be a better man. He opted not to press charges against Ridge. When Justin and Bill uncovered the connection between the judge and Ridge, Bill again opted not to press charges. Katie decided she and Bill would share custody of Will.
