FOR PETE’S SAKE

Faison turned out to be Nathan’s father and also Peter’s (who was born Henrik) — and Anna was revealed to be Peter’s mother. Faison came to town and accidentally shot Nathan dead, devastating Maxie, Obrecht and Nina, before Jason shot him dead. Anna tried to build a relationship with Peter, who was temporarily held captive by Obrecht, while Nina divorced Valentin after learning that he was responsible for delivering a young Henrik to Faison. Anna was briefly held hostage by baddies with apparent ties to the Cassadines and an unknown interest in Cassandra; Robert and Finn came to her rescue. Peter met his new half sister, Robin, and started dating Maxie, who gave birth to Nathan’s son, James. CRAZY TALK

Carly was sent to Ferncliff after pregnant Nelle schemed to make her look insane. Eventually, Michael exonerated her and got the goods on Nelle with help from her ex, Chase, a new PCPD detective and Finn’s estranged half brother. Before going to prison, Nelle gave birth to Michael’s son, Jonah, with an assist from Obrecht, but convinced

Michael that the baby died. Really, Nelle gave Jonah to Brad, who passed him off to Lucas as Wiley, the newborn they had planned to adopt. (The real Wiley passed away.) Brad made a partial confession to Julian. Grieving Michael bonded with schoolteacher Willow, who also caught Chase’s eye. In Willow’s classroom, Charlotte was bullying Aiden, alarming Lulu and Liz. THE PAST IS PRESENT

Mike’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis devastated Sonny. New DA Margaux sought to bust Sonny for murdering her father years ago. She backed off after Sonny proved that her mother had induced Scully to order the hit. Carly was rattled by Sonny’s soft spot for Margaux. Margaux gave Drew the flash drive containing his memory map after unsuccessfully trying to get him to use his Jason memories against Sonny; Drew was reluctant to risk his new memories by restoring his old ones, especially when he learned that Oscar was dying of a brain tumor.
